CSIT58 Friday Participation Credit 2/26: Issue and Conclusion and Windows

Each week there will be a Participation Credit exercise to turn in. Don't confuse that with the assignment! There is also an assignment for you to do outside of class due the following week. If you miss class, you should complete the participation credit on your own to get some credit for the day. Usually you will be completing it in Etudes, but the Etudes accounts are not working today.

Part 1: 7 points Issue and Conclusion

Form groups of 3-5 students. I will give you two articles to read.

On a piece of paper, or in an email message addressed to loralane@yahoo.com, list the names of all of your group members. Answer the following questions:

1. What is the title of the first article?

2. What is the issue? Make sure you word it as a question.

3. What is the conclusion?

4. What is the title of the second article?

5. What is the issue? Make sure you word it as a question.

6. What is the conclusion?

7. Find the other group that has one of your articles. How close was their issue and conclusion to yours? How was it different? If it was different, who do you think was right?

Part 2: 3 points Windows Projects 1 and 2 - Follow along with my classroom demonstration and answer the following questions on a piece of paper.

1: What are you doing when the mouse pointer looks like a 2 headed arrow?

2: How do you move a non-maximized window to a new location on the desktop?

3: Describe a way to scroll a window other than by clicking the arrows at the top and bottom of the scroll bar.

Turn in your answers for credit for today. Please shut down the computer before you leave the lab.
