Part 2 College Textbook Statistics Discussion 10 points
Perform research about the high prices of college textbooks on the Internet. Look for statistical evidence. Choose an issue to write an argument about. Some sample issues:
Who/What is responsible for the high prices?
Are electronic (online) textbooks a good solution?
Are textbook rentals a good solution?
Should professors seek out low cost and free books?
Do bookstores mark up the books too much?
Is it the student's responsibility to shop early online and find their own good prices?
Go to the Assignment 12 College Textbook Statistics discussion and start a new topic.
Make up a title for your argument in the subject.
The body of the message should contain your argument. Write at least a paragraph. Use at least one statistic from your research in your argument. Include the URL in parentheses after the statistic. I recommend that you use Word to check your spelling and grammar and then copy and paste the text to the discussion using the paste button with the W.
Read another student's post and reply, responding to their argument. Do you agree or disagree? Why?
