In this assignment, you will create worksheets with formulas, functions and formatting.
Part 1: Reading AND Assignment 10 points
Read Excel Chapter 2 "Formulas, Functions, Formatting and Web Queries" in the Office 2007 textbook. Read in front of the computer and follow the steps shown in the chapter to create and save the stock workbook.
Upload the Silver Dollars Stock Club Portfolio Summary workbook.
Part 2: Weight-Loss Plan Worksheet 30 points
1. Do Cases and Places 1: Design and Create a Weight-Loss Plan Worksheet on page EX156. Make sure you use formulas for the Total Calories Burned per Day, the Total Pounds Lost per Month, and the Average, Highest and Lowest. Do not just type in the numbers. The arrows in Table 2-11 mean that you are supposed to copy the formulas down the column or across the row using the fill handle.
Your worksheet should use the formatting techniques covered in the chapter like the following:
A title typed in cell A1, then merged and centered across the data columns.
Your name as a subtitle typed in cell A2, then merged and centered across the data columns.
A fill color, font color and enlarged font used for the titles.
At least 2 borders.
Appropriate number formats.
Columns are wide enough to display all data.
Long column labels are wrapped.
Column labels and summary row labels are formatted attractively using things like alignment, bolding, italics, etc.
2. Go to http://www.nutristrategy.com/activitylist.htm and use the information to change the activities and times in the worksheet to reflect what you really do in typical day. Remember that the hours should add up to 24 under "Average Hours Daily."
Save the workbook as Task13. Upload to Task 13 in Tasks, Tests and Surveys in Etudes.
